EASE

A network between Europe, Asia and Mediterranean Countries for the training of scientific explainers aimed at promoting Science Diffusion Capabilities among Students and Researchers.

Based on the positive experiences acquired in training senior scientific explainers during the launch course F2S4E2, the First Festival School for Students as Science & Society Explainers of Excellence in 2006 and during the seven editions of EASE (2007 – 2013) in Genova, the Science Festival Association is now promoting the eighth edition of EASE.

The school promotes international exchanges of teacher and junior explainers operating in scientific dissemination realities like Science Festivals, Science Centers or Museums in different Countries.

The main aim of the school is to create a team of young people with specific knowledge in science dissemination.
The School’s mission is to train the scientific explainers of the future, providing young researchers with the fundamental instruments and techniques needed to effectively communicate their knowledge, whereby also realizing the future necessity to promote efficiently their scientific activities of study.
In parallel, the school offers research organizations the opportunity to maximise their relationship between science and society.

The school organises classroom activity and tutorials, which range from Science communication to organisation, expression and presentation skills, theatrical techniques and dialogue…

Under the Science Festival Association guidance in May 2012 in Shanghai took place the first edition of SASE – Shanghai Academy for Scientific Explainers, in collaboration with SAST – Shanghai Association for Science and Technology.
